"Fare lo Spiegone" is an italian slang which means "make a huuuuge explanation about something without caring how to put it in the middle of the story". The word "spiegone" come from the verb "spiegare" ("spiego"= I explain) with the augmentative suffix "-one" ("gatto" = cat, "gattone" = big cat).
I don't know if there's a word in english to translate this slang, it is used mostly in screenplay to descrive a particular type of scene in italian series in which the characters explain what happened 3-4 times during an episode in case somebody just switched to that tv channel. When you find a "spiegone" in a tv series, it's a sign the tv series
